This is the VI company I measure all others by, they are incredible. Next I want looks potentially amazing and with the new VIP upgrade looks like it will be another Spectrasonics Home Run. RMX-Expanded ,I purchased about 6 months ago(GC had a sale on it) now comes with free additional sounds (used to cost about $150 additionally)this bundle makes RMX a total bargain. I bought Trilogy about 4 years ago,the upgrade for Trillian was FREE! I only have Stylus RMX, but I was very impressed when I got a free upgrade quite a while after I had purchased it. especially when you comapare what Waves charges for just ONE plug-in.Spectrosonics products are about value for money.and boy do they deliver.!!Īnd not to mention the free updates and major upgrades too. Guess I'll have to wait a while.Ĭloudsplitter wrote:Shooshie, I have never seen any sales from Spectrosonics and it doesn't surprise me.what they give in those programs is already priced more than fair in my estimation. That's a pretty good sign, you know.īut I'm just not ready to pay that much right now. Not to mention that the man behind the synths stops in here to give first-hand help and answers on a fairly regular basis. I'm guessing that these will make me want to leave my hardware sounds behind for good, eh? Free up my racks and let me store books in them, no? Well, I'm gradually getting sold on them just from the constant reading about them here in this forum, and the excellent reports by everyone who uses them. It appears to me to be directed toward electronic music and does have some nice sounds for this genre. One not mentioned is Nexus, although I do not own it to say with certainty. You can get what you need in Omnisphere- if you do have it, or any of the mentioned synths. These instruments are pretty amazing, you know. As for 'Do I buy Trillian to make electro music only' - In a word, no. I enjoy the MOTU synths a lot, but I have an enormous library of sounds in Yamaha TG77 and Kurzweil 2600 hardware for great synth sound resources. I use mainly orchestral sounds, but sometimes I like to write something completely in synth sounds. Are there ever any "end of year" sales? Anywhere you can pick these up for a few hundred instead of $759.94 for the two of them? My problem is that I don't use this sort of sound as often as most people would.
